Fox River Trail
Posted on August 12th, 2007 in trail biking |
The Fox River Trail is probably the nicest trail in the Chicago area for biking that I have been on so far. Very scenic, mostly asfalt with every now and then a couple of hundred yards of mud. These pictures are taken riding from just south of Geneva to South Elgin (see google earth track below). More photos are found here.

Cool pix. I know it’s fun to admire nature in all of its glory; like beautiful rivers and hardwood forests. But, did you think of stopping in downtown Geneva and admiring some some beer and food too? Downtown Geneva rocks and is worthy of a detour from nature sightseeing.
Well, let’s just say that some beer and food was admired as well this day, although not in Geneva. Problem is afterwards camera handling gets tricky hence no pics are available…….
Great pictures Arjan. Hey John, did I just read “beer”?? I looked up breweries in Geneva and found Stockholm’s Vardshus. Been there guys?
I have not been there. I have been to many Värdshus in Stockholm though :). Let’s put it on the list for your next Chicago beer trip. Arjan
